About the Role
Canberra Grammar School is seeking a creative and highlyorganised Engagement Officer to help tell the stories of ourvibrant School community.
Working across stakeholder engagement, publications, internalcommunications and content creation, you will develop engagingmaterial that strengthens connection with our students, families,colleagues, alumni and broader community.
You will also support enrolment marketing, brand awareness andmajor School initiatives by creating high-quality marketing assets,coordinating consistent messaging and helping deliver memorableevents and campaigns.
This is an exciting opportunity for a communicationsprofessional who enjoys variety, thrives in a collaborativeenvironment and knows how to transform ideas and experiences intocontent that connects with people.
About You
You are a creative and motivated communications professional whocombines strong storytelling skills with excellent attention todetail. You enjoy building relationships, managing multiplepriorities and contributing ideas that make a genuine impact.
You will bring:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in marketing,communications, public relations, media, or a relatedfield
- A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card
- 3–5 years’ experience in a corporate or internalcommunications role
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability totailor content for diverse audiences and purposes
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiplestakeholders to deliver high-quality communicationoutcomes
- Excellent organisational skills,
including managingmultiple projects and meeting deadlines
- Strong digital literacy and understanding of current media,platforms, and analytics
- A proactive, future-focused mindset and ability totranslate strategic objectives into actionable plans.
- Experience in independent schools, higher education, or thenot-for-profit sector
- Familiarity with alumni engagement, philanthropy, and donorcommunications.
All team members at CGS are required to have:
- A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card
- A current National Police Check
- Full working rights within Australia.
