Our client is a State Government Department that provides internal support to multiple Government Agencies and Departments on a range of matters including employee return to work processes.
The role involves:
- Coordination of return to work case management for employees who have sustain a work-related or personal injury or illness
- Provide recommendations to promote a successful return to work plan
- Assist with medical assessments and ill health retirement processes
- Nurture professional relationships with all related stakeholders
Required Attributes:
- Previous experience working in Rehabilitation and Return to Work, Human Resources, or a medical profession
- Experience within injury management viewed favourably, however HR, or a medical background also considered
- Have previous experience in the planning and coordination of return to work and rehabilitation services
- Knowledge of QLD workers' compensation and Income Protection schemes and rehabilitation, return to work and injury management processes
- Excellent emotional intelligence, empathetic, with the ability to work flexibly and responsively
- Confident verbal and written communication - able to influence and provide advice to stakeholders and produce quality written work
What is on offer:
- ASAP start through to the end of November with a strong possibility to extend (subject to business demands and your performance)
- Competitive pay rate $66.86ph + Super
- Monday to Friday - normal business hours
- Initial training and induction Brisbane CBD office - once training is completed - adaptable work arrangement, including working from regional offices (Maroochydore, Robina, and Toowoomba)
- A great team environment with regular feedback and coaching
