ABOUT THE ROLE

Join JJ’sas a Labourer / Yard Hand based out of our Mackay depot.

On a day-to-day basis, this role will require you to be responsible for a variety of depot tasks including: cardboard baling, completing bin repairs and maintenance, bin preparation, vehicle washing and detailing, machine operation. loading and unloading trucks, and general labouring duties.

We are looking for someone with the ability to learn quickly, demonstrate a willingness to undertake a variety of administration tasks, and have excellent problem solving and time management skills.

As we are an essential service provider, you will benefit from a stable and permanent role, regular hours with the opportunity for overtime.

The role will involve:

- Perform general housekeeping duties maintaining a high standard of site compliance
- Operation of various fixed & mobile plant equipment & heavy vehicles
- Maintaining routine work records and inventories
- Oil farm operation, grease farm facilities




- Carrying out non-technical maintenance tasks internally and externally as required
- Manual handling around the yard and facilities

ABOUT YOU

- MR licence - Essential (HR licence ideal)
- Current forklift and skid steer licence/tickets
- Other mobile plant tickets - desirable. We will teach you!
- Able to demonstrate self-management and positive communication skills
- Reliable and punctual - you show up on time, ready to get the job done
- An early riser - with shifts commencing around 8am
- Physically capable and enough strength to engage in regular manual handling, including loading and unloading bins
- Professional and approachable - the friendly face of JJs to our customers and a team player
- Safety-conscious and committed to following all policies and procedures
- Willing to complete a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol test
- Able to provide a 5-year traffic history at the interview
