Lead campus operations, student experience and regulatory compliance
Macallan College is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Campus Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Adelaide campus.
This is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring the campus operates effectively, delivers a positive student experience and maintains high standards of education, administration, compliance and customer service. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management, academic staff, student support teams and external stakeholders to support the College’s strategic and operational objectives.
The role would suit an experienced education manager who is commercially aware, student-focused and confident leading a diverse team within the vocational education and training or international education sector.

Key responsibilities
The Campus Manager will be responsible for:
Providing leadership and operational oversight of the Adelaide campus.
Managing campus administration, academic operations, student services and support functions.
Leading, supporting and monitoring campus staff to ensure clear accountability and high performance.
Promoting a positive, inclusive and professional campus culture.
Ensuring students receive timely, accurate and high-quality support throughout their study journey.
Monitoring student attendance, engagement, progression, completion and general wellbeing.
Coordinating appropriate interventions for students who may be at risk of not meeting course progress or attendance requirements.
Responding to student enquiries, concerns, complaints and appeals in accordance with College policies and procedures.
Supporting the effective delivery of nationally recognised training and assessment.
Working with academic leaders to monitor trainer and assessor performance, class scheduling, resource requirements and assessment practices.
Ensuring campus operations comply with applicable regulatory and contractual requirements, including the Standards for Registered Training Organisations, the ESOS framework, the National Code and relevant state and federal legislation.
Supporting internal audits, validation activities, continuous improvement processes and regulatory reviews.
Maintaining accurate and complete student, staffing, compliance and operational records.
Monitoring implementation of College policies, procedures and quality assurance systems.
Managing campus facilities, security, work health and safety, emergency procedures and general presentation.
Contributing to campus budgeting, resource planning, expenditure monitoring and operational reporting.
Building productive relationships with education agents, employers, community organisations, government bodies and other stakeholders where required.
Providing regular reports to senior management on campus performance, risks, student outcomes and improvement activities.
Supporting enrolment growth, student retention and the achievement of agreed operational targets.
Undertaking other duties consistent with the responsibilities of the position.
Required attributes and experience
To be successful in this role, applicants must demonstrate:
Relevant management experience within an RTO, CRICOS provider, higher education provider or comparable education environment.
Strong knowledge of vocational education and training operations and student administration.
Sound understanding of regulatory compliance requirements applying to Australian RTOs and international education providers.
Demonstrated experience leading, supervising and developing multidisciplinary teams.
Strong operational planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.
The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a busy campus environment.
Demonstrated commitment to student welfare, educational quality and positive student outcomes.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with students and staff from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience managing student complaints, welfare matters and sensitive or confidential issues.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
Competence in using student management systems, learning management systems and Microsoft Office applications.

The following qualifications and experience will be highly regarded:
A qualification in business, management, education, vocational education and training or a related discipline.
A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a higher-level adult education qualification.
Experience managing a metropolitan campus delivering programs to international students.
Detailed knowledge of the ESOS Act, National Code, CRICOS requirements and student visa-related compliance obligations.
Familiarity with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2025 and ASQA regulatory expectations.
Experience preparing for or participating in internal audits, external audits or regulatory reviews.
Experience with assessment validation, continuous improvement and academic quality assurance.
Knowledge of AVETMISS reporting, PRISMS and student management system requirements.
Experience in budget management, workforce planning and performance reporting.
Experience working with education agents, industry partners and community stakeholders.
An understanding of the Adelaide education market and the needs of domestic and international students.
