We are currently seeking a transport operations specialist to join our Supply Chain team on a 12-month contract.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in an Australian domestic transport operation, either with a transport company directly, or co-ordinating the supply of transport services for a customer operation.

Based at our Macquarie Park office, this role plays a critical part in supporting our Consumer, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning), and Mobile Solutions divisions.

You will help ensure our transport operations run efficiently, our customer expectations are met, and our transport suppliers deliver exceptional service.

This role is ideal for a supply chain professional who enjoys problem-solving and driving operational and commercial excellence across our transport and distribution activities.

The key responsibilities we would trust you with:

- Coordinate day-to-day transport operations and manage relationships with contracted transport providers to ensure productive service delivery.
- Facilitate standard and non-standard transport requests, including providing transport cost estimates and solutions for specialised requirements.
- Validate transport invoices and ensure compliance with contracted rates and company processes.
- Investigate, resolve and report transport-related issues, supply failures, delivery discrepancies and customer enquiries.
- Manage reverse logistics activities, including product returns, claims processing and insurance-related requirements.




- Monitor and report transport performance against service levels, identifying and implementing improvement actions where needed.

The areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most to the role:

- Minimum 5 years' experience in transport, distribution, logistics operations, or a transport coordination role and TAFE or similar qualification in Supply Chain or related discipline.
- Customer-focused mindset and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage workload independently while maintaining high standards of productivity
- Microsoft suite of tools, specifically excel (and Power BI desirable).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive attitude and a collaborative team-player approach.
