We are seeking an experienced Leisure & Lifestyle Assistant to join our team at Brodribb Home. The right candidate will be passionate about working within a team and delivering quality services.

About the role

As a Leisure & Lifestyle team member you will play an integral role in Brodribb's person-centred approach which ensures enhancement of the psychological, social, emotional, and physical well-being of our residents.

You will be part of a team who deliver tailored programs that promote physical and social wellbeing for our residents. This is a hands-on role that plays a critical part in supporting resident wellbeing.

The position works within a multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively to support the organisation to continue to operate at the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities





- Planning and developing personalised leisure activities that reflect residents' preferences and needs.
- Ensure that all residents can be part of an activity program of interest and that they can achieve the desired outcomes.
- Providing guidance to residents and their families, ensuring the best possible support for their lifestyle choices.
- Ensuring a varied and inclusive program that accommodates all levels of ability and encourages participation.
- Promoting social and physical engagement, helping residents maintain optimal function and independence.
- Implement social calendars and wellbeing programs

About you:

- A relevant qualification (Certificate III or IV) or experience in recreational services.
- Experience in a Diversional Therapy role, particularly within aged care.
- A sound understanding of the needs and preferences of elderly residents, including cognitive decline and physical disabilities.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
