LCM Carpentry & Glazing Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and Qualified Carpenter / Maintenance Carpenter to join our team in Mount Isa, QLD. This is a full-time position offering a fantastic opportunity to work on diverse carpentry projects in a growing regional business. As a Carpenter, you will be integral to delivering high-quality craftsmanship and ensuring projects are completed to specification, on time and within budget. This role is based on-site in Mount Isa, where you will contribute to building and maintaining the strong reputation our company has established in the local building trades sector.

Key responsibilities

- Measure, cut and shape timber, plywood and other construction materials using hand and power tools.
- Construct, assemble and install timber structures, frameworks, cabinetry, fit-outs and other carpentry components in accordance with plans and building codes.
- Interpret architectural drawings, blueprints and technical specifications accurately.
- Install doors, windows, skirting boards, architraves and other timber finishing components with precision.
- Carry out renovation, maintenance and insurance repair works to a high standard.
- Assist with bathroom renovations and general building works.
- Work safely and efficiently while preparing work sites, handling materials and managing waste.
- Collaborate effectively with supervisors, clients and other trades to ensure projects are completed on time and within specification.
- Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicles in a clean and serviceable condition.
- Comply with all Workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organised and professional work environment at all times.

What we're looking for





- Trade Qualified Carpenter – Certificate III in Carpentry (CPC30220 or recognised equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years' post-trade experience preferred.
- Current Construction White Card.
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- High attention to detail with excellent workmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Reliable, punctual and professional.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Own hand tools (power tools advantageous).
