About the Role
This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining, troubleshooting, and setting up Grain Popper (GP) production machinery in a quick-paced FMCG environment.
You’ll play a key role in:
- Ensuring smooth production operations
- Minimising downtime
- Supporting production changeovers and maintenance activities
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance tasks safely and within scope
- Reduce downtime and optimise production efficiency
- Support production changeovers and cleaning
- Conduct preventative maintenance and safety checks
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults
- Complete maintenance records and documentation
- Perform daily equipment inspections
- Assist with spare parts management
- Assemble/disassemble GP heads
- Follow GMP, QA, and safety procedures
- Maintain high housekeeping standards
- Be available for occasional weekend/shutdown work
Skills & Experience
- Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter (essential)
- Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing (highly desirable)
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with pneumatics and industrial systems
- Knowledge of food processing machinery
- Familiarity with maintenance systems/software
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
