About the Team
This role works within the Graduate Research School, reporting to the PVC HDR. This role supports effective operations, service delivery and coordination across academic and research activities.
Job Purpose
The Senior Operations Officer provides high level administrative and operational support to faculties or divisions. The role collaborates with embedded and central teams to streamline processes, support service delivery and contribute to ongoing improvement.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide administrative, procurement, travel and project support.
- Coordinate recruitment activities, contract administration and honorary appointments.
- Support staff induction and onboarding, including equipment and space coordination.
- Contribute to health, safety, risk and compliance activities and reviews.
- Support facilities, access, security, space management and staff relocations.
- Manage records, SharePoint content and the resolution of operational queries.

Attributes and Knowledge
- Strong organisational and planning skills with attention to detail.
- Effective written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Problem solving and analytical capability.
- Technical capability and ability to learn systems and processes quickly.
Experience
- Experience in a similar administrative or operational role.
- Experience supporting customer service in a complex environment.
- Experience preparing employment contracts or supporting HR processes.
- Experience improving administrative systems or processes.
Qualifications
- Degree level qualification or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
What We Offer
- Base Salary Range: $98,792.00 - $106,966.00 (HEW6) plus 17% superannuation (pension)
The position is full time and will be made on a continuing basis.
