South Sydney Graphic Arts Club We are seeking a qualified chef to manage kitchen operations and prepare quality meals for our customers. Duties include menu planning, maintaining food standards, controlling costs, and supervising kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and organizational skills. This is a full-time position, so the applicant must have work rights to work in Australia.

Task & responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality food in accordance with the menu.
- Develop new recipes, estimation of food requirements and labour costs.
- Develop and implement creative, seasonal menus that aligns with the Club marketing strategy and objectives.
- Regularly update the menu packages to deliver exceptional experiences for corporate, private function, wedding, birthday or special function clients.
- Maintain clean and organized kitchen and also enforce hygiene regulations.
- Ensure food handling and storage are in accordance with food safety and handling standard.
- Lead and train kitchen staff while promoting a supportive and positive workplace.
- Oversee food plating and garnishing, maintaining consistency and artistic presentation.
- Work closely with the restaurant manager, operations manager, and front-of-house team to deliver an excellent guest experience.
- Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements.
- Stock control and inventory management.
Qualification & experience
- Holds Certificate IV in Kitchen management (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and positive team attitude.
- Minimum 2 years work experience, with prior experience in club would be an advantage.
- Demonstrate culinary expertise and ability to manage kitchen costs effectively.
