Dental Assistant – Certificate IV (Full-Time)

Canberra Surgicentre is a specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice located in Braddon, ACT. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Dental Assistant with a Certificate IV in Dental Assisting to join our friendly and professional team on a full-time basis.

This is a diverse hybrid role offering a combination of clinical assisting, sterilisation, radiography, and front desk administration. You will work alongside our specialist surgeons in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Working Hours

- Full-time position with consideration for part time

- Monday to Friday

- Rostered shifts between 7:30 am and 5:00 pm

Key Responsibilities

- Assist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons with dental extractions and oral surgery procedures under local anaesthetic.

- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a safe, efficient clinical environment.

- Clean, sterilise, and maintain surgical instruments in accordance with infection control standards.

- Take OPG (panoramic) X-rays.





- Download and manage various CBCT scan files.

- Provide front desk reception support, including patient bookings, answering telephone enquiries, and administrative tasks.

- Deliver exceptional patient care and support throughout the patient journey.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Certificate IV in Dental Assisting.

- Current experience as a Dental Assistant.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Solid organisational skills and attention to detail.
