SK Automotive is seeking a skilled and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our growing team in Blacktown, NSW. This is a full-time position based at our Blacktown facility. As a Motor Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring our customers receive excellent service and their vehicles operate safely and efficiently. This position is integral to our operations and directly contributes to our reputation for quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge

Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks and adjustments

Repair and replace engine components, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems and other vehicle parts

Conduct vehicle inspections and identify issues requiring attention

Follow manufacturer specifications and service schedules when performing repairs and maintenance

Keep accurate records of work completed, parts used and hours spent on each vehicle

Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues, repair recommendations and timelines

Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment in compliance with health and safety regulations

Keep up to date with new vehicle models, technologies and repair techniques

What we're looking for

A recognised automotive trade qualification or equivalent experience as a Motor Mechanic

Proven experience in automotive repair and maintenance across a variety of vehicle makes and models

Strong knowledge of engine systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension and transmission components





Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and workshop tools

Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong technical knowledge

A commitment to safety and compliance with relevant workplace health and safety standards

Transparent communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues to customers

Reliability, punctuality and a professional work ethic

Valid driver's licence
