The role will suit a commercially minded accountant who is comfortable operating in a fast growing, commercially nimble, healthcare organisation. The position requires both technical accounting discipline and practical business partnering capability.

Key to the success of this position is mapping the operating units of the business from a financial perspective, to enable divisional planning and reporting. Success will involve liaising with colleagues across the business to understand and forecast plans across the business.

- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and performance analysis.
- Providing financial insight to management regarding revenue, costs, margin, utilisation, service line performance and entity-level performance.
- Working with the bookkeeper/payroll function to ensure transactional finance processes support accurate management reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Finance Function Build and Structuring

The initial phase of the role will involve helping TBMH build a fit-for-purpose finance structure.

- Improving the quality,

consistency and timeliness of financial data
- Working with the existing payroll/bookkeeping function to ensure transactional inputs are complete, accurate and coded appropriately
- Identifying gaps in current finance processes and recommending practical improvements
- Supporting the development of internal controls appropriate for a growing healthcare organisation.

2. Management Reporting

The Management Accountant will be responsible for producing appropriate financial reports that give management a clear view of business performance. This will include:

- Review and analyse the monthly trial balance as part of the month‑end close process
- Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual profit and loss reports, balance sheet summaries and cash flow reporting as required
- Preparing budget versus actual reporting and variance analysis
- Reporting by entity, location, service line and cost centre where applicable
- Analysing revenue, direct costs, contribution margin and overheads
- Preparing commentary on key financial movements, risks and performance drivers
- Tracking financial KPIs relevant to healthcare operations, including revenue per service line, practitioner utilisation, labour costs, treatment volumes and contribution by service line
- Preparing monthly management packs for the executive team as required
- Supporting management meetings with explicit financial analysis and explanation

3. Budgeting and Forecasting

The role will support the development and maintenance of TBMH’s budget and forecasting processes. Responsibilities will include:

- Assisting with preparation of annual budgets
- Developing rolling forecasts where required
- Modelling revenue, cost, workforce and utilisation assumptions
- Preparing scenario analysis for current services, clinics, contracts or commercial initiatives
- Monitoring actual performance against forecast and identifying required corrective actions
- Supporting cash flow forecasting and working capital planning
- Assisting management to understand the financial impact of operational decisions

4. Business Partnering and Commercial Analysis

The Management Accountant will act as a finance business partner to management and operational leaders. Responsibilities will include:
