About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join Jubilee Metals Ltd in Brisbane. This is a full-time position based in Brisbane CBD 4000, offering an exciting prospect to lead financial operations and strategy for a dynamic organisation. As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial management activities, ensuring accurate reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior leadership. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within a dynamic mining and exploration company, supporting operational growth and driving financial performance across the business, positioning you as a key member of the executive team.

Key responsibilities

Manage all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and financial reporting

Prepare and present weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards

Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, providing variance analysis and financial insights to support business decision-making

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax obligations and audit standards

Conduct financial analysis and provide strategic recommendations to support business growth and operational efficiency





Develop innovative solutions to mitigate identified risks and optimise business outcomes.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline

Professional qualification such as CPA, CA or ACCA

Minimum 7-10 years of experience in financial management, accounting or a related role, with at least 3 years in a controller or senior accounting position

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance requirements

Advanced spreadsheet and data analysis skills, preferably with experience in financial modelling

Excellent leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to develop and motivate staff

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to diverse stakeholder groups

Experience in mining, construction, or industrial sector is highly regarded
