We have a temporary full time vacancy for a Business Services Support Officer at Queensland's trusted source of legal information, Supreme Court Library Queensland (SCLQ).

The Business Services Manager leads and coordinates the activities of a small team of internal staff, and external contractors, responsible for delivering all aspects of library business services. Functions the position is responsible for include communication and marketing, governance, finance, human resources, information and communications technology, web design and development. A major responsibility is to provide legal and corporate information via a range of internal and external websites, and the management and development of those sites.

This role will be vacant from 1 October 2026 until 18 February 2027 inclusive. The suitable applicant must be able to commence 14 September 2026.
Scope of the role
- Manage the library’s business services functions, including communication and marketing, finance, human resources, information communication technology and website development
- Manage and lead direct reports, ensuring effective communication, workload management, performance evaluations and fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Manage,
develop and implement policies and procedures for business services functions
- Manage relationships and the work of external contractors engaged by the library to provide business services
- Manage internal and external library communication, including monitoring all official library communication to ensure clarity and consistency with agreed communication objectives, strategies and standards, manage and develop library corporate image and branding, and manage and develop internal and external library websites and provide high quality web and online services in collaboration with library staff
- Ensure provision of high quality, timely executive and administrative support to the Supreme Court Librarian & CEO and the library’s corporate governance systems, including its committee structure
- Monitor the library’s compliance with its statutory obligations, including right to information and information privacy
- Provide strategic and policy advice to the Supreme Court Librarian & CEO
- As an active participant in the library’s leadership team, contribute to the ongoing development, implementation and review of broader library programs, plans, policies and processes, to ensure the effective and efficient management and operation of the library consistent with its values and strategic direction
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, professional practice development and cross team collaboration consistent with SCLQ's "One Library" approach by participating in working groups, internal committees and project team.
Remuneration is competitive: from $140,725 annual salary, plus leave loading and superannuation.
