Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will bring a solid culinary background across modern and traditional cuisines, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for creating memorable dishes.

This role involves managing kitchen staff, overseeing food preparation across service and functions, ensuring quality and presentation standards, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen. Key Responsibilities: Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities Modify existing menus or create new ones that meet quality standards, including bar and function menus Estimate food requirements and food/labour costs Supervise the activities of kitchen staff Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs Recruit and manage kitchen staff Rectify arising problems or complaints Perform administrative duties Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers Display strong leadership skills and effectively manage and communicate with a diverse team Manage and maintain a food safety program, including documentation Undertake menu planning,



rostering and ordering Prepare and cook food to a consistent standard across busy dinner and weekend service Demonstrate techniques and provide guidance on cooking methods Monitor and supervise OH&S; standards and procedures Build and maintain effective working relationships with kitchen, bar and floor teams Take a genuine interest in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant Maintain outstanding time management during preparation and service periods Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of proven experience as a Chef Excellent record of kitchen management Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently Capable of delegating multiple tasks Strong communication and leadership skills

Up to date with culinary trends and optimised kitchen processes Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS) Credentials in health and safety training Culinary school diploma or degree in food service management or a related field
