The Role:
We are seeking a warm, kind, experienced & qualified Early Childhood Teacher for our 5-day fortnight group. The hours of work are 8:00-3:40pm with the children attending from 8:40am-2:50pm. You will also be entitled to additional non-contact time, as per our EBA. This role will be part time, commencing Term 4 with the possibility of extension into 2027.
As the Kindergarten Teacher for this group, you will be delivering an Approved Kindergarten Program to 22 children, alongside a longstanding and passionate Assistant
Our Ideal Candidate will hold:
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood or equivalent (recognised by ACECQA as an early childhood teaching qualification).
Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers prior to appointment. This registration must be renewed annually. (Registration not compulsory for Bachelor qualified 0-5year olds)
Current Paid Blue Card.
Up to date First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificate/s.
Previous experience within a Community Kindergarten is desirable.
Bush Kindy/ Nature Play Training is desirable
You will be well versed in your understanding of the EYLF, QKLG & NQF as well as have sound knowledge and understanding of the National Law & Regulations.The successful candidate will be passionate about play-based learning and have a sound knowledge and understanding of contemporary early childhood development and best practice.
You will be committed to ongoing professional development and a demonstrated capacity to work alongside colleagues to continually improve and refine teaching and learning practices.

Wynnum Manly Community Kindergarten is a double unit kindergarten, currently operating 3 groups of 22 children per class. We also provide a Kindy 3’s program. We pride ourselves on our commitment to delivering high quality and education to each individual child and have been awarded Exceeding in all 7 National Quality Standard Areas . We are based in a unique suburban position, with a recently renovated front and back playground. In 2021, we launched our Creek Kindy program which you will be involved in providing. The children and our community are incredibly supportive of this program and the advantages and learning opportunities it provides.
