Job Description

- Washing and sanitising dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
- Operating commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, storage areas and back-of-house areas
- Assisting with basic food preparation when required
- Removing rubbish and maintaining waste disposal and recycling areas
- Receiving, storing and organising kitchen supplies
- Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures
- Supporting chefs and the wider Kitchen team during busy service periods
- Ensuring cleaning chemicals and equipment are used and stored safely

Qualifications

- Previous experience working as a Kitchen Hand in a hotel, restaurant or similarly quick-paced environment
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety and cleaning procedures
- Ability to work efficiently and remain organised during busy service periods
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness




- Positive attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to safely perform manual handling duties and stand for extended periods
- Availability to work a flexible rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays
