Lightwave Yachts, a family business for over 30 years based in Yatala, is seeking a handyman, yard person or maintenance person to join our team. If you're someone who's motivated, dependable, and looking for consistent full time work hours in a safe and team-oriented setting, we'd like to meet you.
Initially, the position is casual with full time hours guaranteed. Working hours are 7:00am to 3:00 from Monday to Friday. After a trial period, you may have the chance to shift to a permanent full-time role.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unloading off all freight.
- Dispatching of manufactured goods along with completing relevant documentation.
- Positioning incoming ship containers – unloading & organising contents and arranging timely & organised collection.
- Store and store management
- Organising the stock within the yard, storeroom and factories.
- Replenish storage areas within factories.
- Re-stock store and all smaller consumable stations throughout the factories.
- Stock take and notify purchasing staff when to re-order.
- QA on manufactured goods
- Yard and equipment maintenance
- Maintaining cleanliness in yard and factories
- Equipment maintenance (aircons, forklifts, tools)
- Managing maintenance service provides (Bin collection. Gas collection/delivery, cleaners).
- General fabrication to custom factory equipment
- Continual improvement of factory equipment and layout.
- When required, be a floater for production roles / support
