Water Bore Drillers Assistant

This position is based in Devonport, Tasmania and working Statewide.

NOT FFFO – this is a local Tasmanian role

Spaulding Drillers are seeking an ambitious person wanting to start as a Driller’s Assistant with the possibility of, for the right person moving to a trainee driller, to being able to eventually run their own drilling rig.

Applicant should as a minimum hold the following competencies or be able to.

- Previous Down Hole Hammer drilling experience preferable
- Heavy Rigid Licence (min. 2 years’ experience) OR ability to acquire one
- Have valuable mechanical aptitude
- Have a high tolerance to demanding weather conditions
- Be prepared to work and stay away some of the time
- Good communication & interpersonal skills & the ability to foster a team-based culture
- Provide safety leadership by example
- To have good organizational skills
- The ability to maintain records

Pre-Employment

Medical & drug/alcohol screening. The successful candidate will be required to undertake a full medical, which will include drug and alcohol screening.
