As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our leadership team and help drive the next stage of our business.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Controller will be responsible for leading the company's Administration team. You will have a responsibility for financial management, reporting, compliance, budgeting, and strategic planning. Working alongside the CFO, this is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a growing business and wants to make a genuine impact.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all financial operations of the business.

Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.

Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.

Monitor profitability across projects, divisions, and contracts.

Manage payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.

Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and taxation requirements.





Coordinate external audits and liaise with accountants, banks, and regulatory bodies.

Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business growth.

Develop and improve financial systems, controls, and reporting processes.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide commercial insights to management.

Support tender pricing, capital investment decisions, and strategic planning.

Manage relationships with financiers and assist with funding opportunities.

About You

The successful applicant will have:

CPA or CA qualification.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years' experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role.

Strong knowledge of Australian taxation, payroll, and financial reporting requirements.

Experience within construction, civil, transport, infrastructure, or a related industry is highly regarded.

Advanced Excel and accounting software skills (Xero, MYOB, or similar ERP systems).

Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
