Job Description

ELITE CIVIL PTY LTD Elite Civil Pty Ltd is a civil construction company delivering infrastructure, subdivision, roadworks, drainage, earthworks, utilities and other civil engineering projects for government, commercial and private sector clients. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, coordinating and supervising civil engineering projects from commencement through to completion. The role ensures that all engineering works comply with applicable Australian Standards, project specifications, statutory requirements, quality standards, environmental obligations and workplace health and safety legislation while meeting project deadlines and budget objectives.

Perks $80,000 to $90,000 plus Super depending on experience

Task & responsibilities The Civil Engineer will perform duties including, but not limited to, the following:

Engineering Design and Planning

- Investigate project requirements and site conditions prior to construction.
- Analyse engineering survey reports, geotechnical information, environmental assessments and technical data.
- Prepare engineering designs, calculations and specifications for civil construction projects.
- Develop designs for roads, pavements, drainage systems, stormwater infrastructure, retaining structures, earthworks and associated civil works.
- Review engineering drawings to ensure compliance with Australian Standards, local authority requirements and project specifications.
- Recommend appropriate construction methodologies and engineering solutions.

Project Management

- Plan, coordinate and manage civil engineering projects from commencement through completion.
- Develop project programs,



construction schedules and engineering work plans.
- Monitor project progress against scope, budget and program.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate engineering activities across multiple project sites where required.
- Ensure engineering deliverables are completed within required timeframes.

Site Engineering

- Provide engineering support to construction supervisors and site personnel.
- Supervise civil construction activities to ensure works are carried out according to approved engineering designs.
- Conduct regular site inspections.
- Verify construction quality against engineering specifications.
- Resolve engineering issues encountered during construction.
- Review variations and recommend appropriate engineering solutions.

Contract Administration

- Assist in preparing project cost estimates and tender documentation.
- Assess engineering aspects of quotations and subcontractor submissions.
- Administer engineering components of construction contracts.
- Monitor contractor performance and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Review claims, progress reports and variation requests.

Quality Assurance

- Develop and implement quality assurance procedures.
- Ensure construction materials meet engineering specifications.
- Coordinate testing of concrete, asphalt, aggregates, soils and other construction materials.
- Review laboratory test results.
- Investigate defects and implement corrective actions where required.
- Maintain engineering quality documentation.

Qualification & experience

Relevant Bachelor degree or higher qualification At least 12 months of relevant work experience
