Luxia Construction Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to join our growing team in Bella Vista, NSW. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work on a variety of residential and commercial construction projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paints, varnishes and protective coatings, repairing damaged surfaces, mixing and matching colours, and ensuring all painting work is completed to a high standard. Duties also include reading work specifications, maintaining painting tools and equipment, complying with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements, and working collaboratively with supervisors and other trades to deliver projects on time and within quality standards. To be successful, you should hold a relevant trade qualification (Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent), have 1.5–2.5 years of relevant experience,
possess strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A current Australian driver's licence is preferred.
Competitive salary of AUD $80,000–$85,000 per annum plus superannuation. Secure full-time, ongoing employment (38 hours per week).

Task & responsibilities
Prepare interior and exterior surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching and filling cracks or imperfections before painting.
Apply primers, undercoats, paints, varnishes, stains and protective coatings using brushes, rollers and spray equipment.
Mix and match paint colours to achieve specified finishes and customer requirements. Paint walls, ceilings,
doors, windows, timber, plasterboard, concrete, steel and other building surfaces. Apply decorative finishes, textures and specialised coatings where required.
Protect surrounding areas using masking materials and drop sheets to maintain a clean worksite. Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with project specifications and company quality standards. Maintain painting tools, equipment and materials in a safe and serviceable condition.
Follow Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies and maintain a clean and organised work environment. Work collaboratively with supervisors, project managers and other trades to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and on schedule.
Qualification & experience
Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent trade qualification).
1–2 years of relevant painting experience in residential and/or commercial construction. Sound knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, coatings and finishing materials. Ability to read and interpret work instructions and project specifications.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Good communication, organisational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Current Australian Driver's Licence and White Card are preferred. Full Australian working rights.
