Play a key role in supporting the safe, consistent, and high-quality delivery of Outdoor Adventure programs at both our PCYC Outdoor Adventures locations - Bornhoffen and Capricorn Coast. This is an exciting prospect to provide technical expertise, strengthen staff capability, and drive continuous improvement to ensure our outdoor programs deliver exceptional experiences while meeting the highest safety and compliance standards.

This position will be based at PCYC Bornhoffen, with flexible work arrangements, and a vehicle will be supplied.

About the Role

As the Product Technical Advisor – Outdoor Adventure, you will support the safe, compliant, and consistent delivery of Outdoor Adventure programs across PCYC Queensland. You will provide expert technical advice, monitor program quality and compliance, and work closely with Outdoor Adventure teams to strengthen operational practices and ensure alignment with organisational standards and industry best practice. You will play a key role in supporting staff capability through coaching, training, and technical guidance,



while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance program quality, risk management, and participant experiences across our Outdoor Adventure Centres.

About You

You are passionate about outdoor adventure, safety, and developing others. You bring solid technical expertise, enjoy coaching and mentoring teams, and are committed to delivering safe, engaging, and high-quality outdoor experiences. You thrive in collaborative environments and are motivated by continuous improvement and operational excellence.

What You Bring

- Current Wilderness First Aid certification
- Demonstrated experience delivering or supporting Outdoor Adventure programs, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance
- Strong knowledge of risk management principles, legislative requirements, and industry best practice within the outdoor recreation sector
- Experience providing technical advice, coaching, or training to build staff capability and support consistent program delivery
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple sites
- Ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement practical solutions that enhance program quality and safety
- Hold, or be able to obtain prior to commencement, a valid Blue Card and National Police Check
- Ability to travel throughout Queensland as required
- Current unrestricted driver's licence
