About the Role
As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of manufacturing and production equipment through preventative and breakdown maintenance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing preventative and reactive maintenance on plant and equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
- Installing, maintaining and commissioning machinery
- Conducting inspections and identifying potential equipment issues
- Working from maintenance schedules and work orders
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures
- Collaborating with production teams to minimise downtime
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records
To Be Successful, You Will Possess the Following
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner or equivalent
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production or industrial maintenance environment
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full Australian working rights
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport preferred
