Seeking a Service Advisor / Parts Interpreter to join our team in Yarrawonga Toyota. This is a full-time position that combines customer-facing service advisory responsibilities with technical parts interpretation expertise. As Service Advisor / Parts Interpreter, you will be the crucial link between our customers, service technicians, and parts department, ensuring efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction. This role is fundamental to maintaining our reputation for quality service and supporting the smooth operation of our automotive service facility.

Key responsibilities

- Greeting customers and conducting initial consultations to understand their vehicle service requirements and concerns
- Inspecting vehicles and liaising between customers and service technicians to diagnose issues accurately
- Providing customers with clear explanations of required repairs and maintenance, including cost estimates and timeframes
- Interpreting technical parts specifications and sourcing appropriate components for repairs and maintenance work
- Managing the coordination between the service bay and parts department to ensure parts availability and timely service completion
- Maintaining accurate service records and vehicle history documentation
- Following up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Supporting warranty claims and managing parts returns where necessary
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards in the workplace
- Contributing to a professional and customer-focused service environment

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working as a Service Advisor, Service Consultant or similar customer-facing automotive service role
- Solid knowledge of automotive parts, components and systems relevant to common vehicle servicing and repairs
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings, parts diagrams and vehicle service manuals




- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to customers in clear, non-technical language
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities with capability to manage multiple customer enquiries simultaneously
- Proficiency with automotive service management software and computer systems
- A valid driver's licence and ability to drive vehicles for short distances where required
- Professional appearance and manner with outstanding customer service orientation
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and accuracy
- Flexibility and willingness to support the broader service team as needed
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive servicing, parts interpretation or customer service are advantageous
