We are currently seeking an experienced Machinist to join our workshop team in Waroona.
This is a hands‑on role working with manual lathes, milling machines and other workshop equipment to manufacture, repair and refurbish a wide range of earthmoving machine components. You'll be trusted to work independently, interpret engineering drawings, and contribute to the ongoing success of our workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate manual lathes to manufacture components to specification.
- Perform general machining using lathes, milling machines, drills, and other workshop equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Measure, inspect and verify tolerances using precision measuring instruments.
- Assist with repairs, maintenance and light fabrication work as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment.
About You
- Experience manufacturing and repairing earthmoving equipment components within the civil and mining industries
- Demonstrated experience operating manual lathes.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Solid problem‑solving skills with a proactive attitude.
- Commitment to safe work practices.
- Forklift (LF) Licence is highly regarded.
Requirements
- Australian C Class Driver's Licence (minimum).
- Forklift (LF) Licence preferred.
- White Card - CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
