Full-time/Permanent Role - Mon-Fri - Day Shift

vital.ly is growing fast, and we have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Storeperson with the title of Inventory Assistant in our Mascot distribution centre to receive and putaway inwards goods. This is a high-volume, fast-paced environment that requires robust work ethic and reliability.

- $60,977 base + super

Full-time role

This is not a casual position. It is a full-time, permanent role. It is paid a salary and has leave entitlements.

Hours

This is a regular Monday-Friday day shift role with fixed hours. There is a perk of finishing early on Friday’s.

Stock

Reporting directly to the Inventory Manager, you will use your past experience receiving inwards goods to accurately maximize the flow of inventory in the warehouse.

Location

We are located in Mascot with limited parking, so it is important to be able to get to and from work by public transport, walking or other means.

Daily responsibilities will include:

- Unloading delivery vehicles;
- Accepting delivery of inventory;
- Moving goods on pallet truck to receiving area;
- Counting and confirming inventory according to purchase orders;
- Inspecting inventory for damages and faults;




- Recording inwards goods within the WMS;
- Communicating errors to all relevant parties;
- Putaway stock in the correction location on the racks;
- Ensure good stock rotation eliminating short dated/expiry stock losses;
- Ensure all picking shelves are kept replenished at all times;
- Accurately count stock;
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Assist when needed with other warehouse tasks, such as picking/packing of orders and special projects as required;

Job Requirements:

- Experience in warehouse operations, including receiving inwards goods;
- Forklift walkie stacker experience;
- Forklift licence (LF class minimum) highly desirable;
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills;
- Excellent written and verbal English;
- Physical requirements:
- the ability to lift independently up to 15kg repetitively;
- ability to see well (naturally or with correction);
- ability to stand/walk for long periods;
- ability to stoop, kneel/squat, and climb up/down ladders;

- Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen with the current right to work in Australia.
- Would be great if you have warehouse experience in receiving inwards goods.




- Would be great if you are familiar with the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel.
