Role Description
Sigma Aerospace Workforce is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Engines Mechanical for a Defence aviation maintenance opportunity in Bundamba, Queensland.
This role is suited to an AME with mechanical aircraft maintenance, engine maintenance or Defence aviation maintenance experience who is looking to develop professional skills and career pathways in a structured technical environment.
You will
- Carry out mechanical aircraft maintenance and engine-related maintenance tasks
- Support inspection, rectification and component maintenance activities
- Work to approved maintenance data, procedures and safety requirements
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and quality records
- Support Defence aviation maintenance outcomes with a skilled technical team

Essential Requirements
Required Role Experience: Aircraft mechanical maintenance, engine maintenance, component maintenance or Defence aviation maintenance experience.
Work Rights
Must have Australian work rights and be able to satisfy Defence site access requirements.
Location / Availability
Must be based in Bundamba, QLD, or available to work from the Bundamba / Ipswich area.
Additional Requirements
Ability to meet required Defence, security, site access and operator compliance requirements. Current driver’s licence preferred.
Skills
Strong mechanical maintenance ability, engine maintenance knowledge, practical fault-finding skills, accurate documentation habits, and confidence working to approved procedures.
Attitude
Safety-first, reliable, practical, quality-focused and able to work effectively within a Defence aviation maintenance team.
