We are representing a well-established commercial refrigeration company seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead and grow their service division.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Service Manager to lead and grow the refrigeration service side of the business.

This role would suit a qualified refrigeration mechanic who is ready to step off the tools full-time, or someone already in a service management role who understands the technical side of commercial refrigeration and enjoys leading a team.

The position is focused on business growth, team leadership, scheduling, quoting, follow-up, and ensuring service work is delivered efficiently and professionally. You will not be expected to carry a heavy admin load, as administrative support is already in place.

This is a practical, hands-on leadership role for someone who knows refrigeration, understands technicians, and can keep jobs moving.

Key Responsibilities

- Managing the day-to-day refrigeration service operations

- Leading, supporting, and organising a small team of refrigeration technicians

- Scheduling jobs and allocating technicians to service and repair work

- Quoting repairs and following up with customers

- Completing some site inspections for smaller quotes where required

- Working to fortnightly budgets and keeping jobs commercially on track

- Helping grow the refrigeration service side of the business

- Providing technical guidance to the team when needed

- Ensuring service work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard

- Maintaining strong relationships with customers and staff

- Liaising with management and admin to keep workflow running smoothly

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

- Trade qualification as a refrigeration mechanic

- Strong commercial refrigeration experience





- Previous leadership, supervisor, or service management experience preferred

- Ability to schedule and organise technicians effectively

- Confidence quoting repair works and following up with customers

- Positive technical knowledge and problem-solving ability

- Strong communication skills with both customers and tradespeople

- A practical, organised, no-nonsense approach

- Ability to work to budgets and manage workload priorities

- A genuine interest in growing the refrigeration side of the business

Role Expectations

This is not intended to be a full-time tools-based role. The successful applicant should be capable of getting involved when required, but the main focus will be on managing the team, organising work, quoting, following up, and driving business growth.

There may be occasional site inspections for smaller quotes, but the role is primarily service management rather than constant field work.

After-hours work is limited, with the main focus being strong organisation during normal operating hours.
