The work

The role splits between structural design and site-based assessment. In a given week you might design steel frame and concrete for a commercial extension, inspect footing movement on a residential job, and design a retaining wall. The range is the point, it keeps the work varied and builds breadth rapid

Day to day you will be:

Undertake detailed civil and structural design for commercial and residential projects

Conduct site inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings

Prepare calculations, reports, and drawings in line with company documentation standards

Perform forensic structural inspections, including investigation of structural damage, cracking, movement, and construction defects

Prepare forensic engineering reports, including cause analysis, structural adequacy assessments, and repair recommendations

Ensure all designs comply with Australian Standards and NCC

Deliver assigned tasks efficiently, meeting deadlines and budget requirements

Design structural elements using timber, steel, and concrete





Where you're at

We can shape the role around your level of experience. A few years in and keen to build investigation skills alongside a focus on design? We'll support that. More experienced and ready for a senior seat with a line toward leading delivery, that's open too

What you'll need

Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Australian-accredited)

3+ years' post-graduate experience in civil or structural engineering

Proficiency in AutoCAD, SpaceGass, Structural Toolkit, STAAD.Pro, Microstran, and Checkwind, CORD

Strong understanding of Australian Standards and the NCC

Experience in forensic structural inspections and report writing is highly desirable

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to clients

Motivated. Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to develop professionally

Ability to meet key performance indicators (KPIs)

Australian citizenship is required for this position
