Our Parent Pathways contract assistsparents with young children to identify their goals and facilitate activitiesthat help them achieve success in their personal and professional lives.

This role provides practical support,problem-solving and guides/coaches a caseload to enable participants to achievetheir personal and qualified goals.

Based in Queanbeyan. One day each week will be spent providing outreach services in Cooma.

Duties

- Mentor and supportparents in individual sessions
- Run events locally toattract participants
- Assess participantsneeds and identify activities to support goals
- Lead group sessions inthe community
- Connect participantswith community resources and support networks to overcome challenges

What are we looking for?

- Lived experience (eg as a parent, carer, fosterparent, grandparent etc)
- Cert III in a relevant field (eg communityservices, mental health, employment services) or willingness to worktowards one
- A current driver’s licence, required to travelwithin the Capital region and outlying areas - Work vehicle supplied
- Ability to problem solve and break larger targetsinto smaller, achievable steps
