We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and hands‑on Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team on a part‑time basis. This is a day shift position offering 3–6 hours per day, 5–6 days per week, with the opportunity to become a long‑term member of our team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, maintaining high housekeeping standards, and working in a fast‑paced workplace.
About the Role
As our Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily housekeeping operation, ensuring apartments meet our high standards of cleanliness and presentation while supporting and motivating the housekeeping team.
During periods of lower occupancy, the successful applicant must also be willing to assist with cleaning guest apartments and perform hands‑on housekeeping duties as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily housekeeping team. Reporting and liaising with our senior management team
- Allocate duties and monitor staff performance
- Inspect guest apartments to ensure quality standards are consistently achieved
- Train, support, and mentor housekeeping staff in liaison with the senior management team
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety procedures
- Monitor cleaning supplies,
and housekeeping inventory in liaison with our operations manager
- Report maintenance issues promptly to the onsite property manager. Assist with linen count
- Assist with cleaning guest apartments and housekeeping duties during quieter periods
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A minimum of 1–2 years' experience in a Housekeeping Supervisor position
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a housekeeping team
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, ability to work under pressure within tight timeframes
- A positive attitude with a strong work ethic
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work 5–6 days per week on day shifts
Essential Eligibility
Applicants must have:
- Australian Citizenship; or
- Australian Permanent Residency; or
- New Zealand Citizenship with unrestricted working rights in Australia.
