National Operations Manager - Gold Coast

We're looking for an experienced NationalOperations Manager to join our team on a permanent full time basis,based at our Gold Coast Head Office. In this senior leadershiprole, you'll lead Viva Leisure's corporate World Gym network,currently comprising Underwood, Coomera and Stafford, with anexciting new flagship facility opening in Canberra. This is aunique opportunity to help shape the future of a growing premiumbrand, driving operational excellence, commercial performance, andsustainable growth across the network.

This is a highly visible, hands-onleadership role that requires regular travelacross the network. Approximately four days per week will be spentsupporting and leading operations across the three Queenslandclubs, with travel to Canberra approximately once per month toprovide on-site leadership and support to the flagshipfacility.

Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders, you'lllead strategic initiatives that strengthen business performance,optimise operations, and deliver exceptional member experiences.You'll inspire high-performing teams, champion a culture ofcollaboration and continuous improvement, and ensure every facilityconsistently operates to the highest standards of service, quality,and compliance.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead the day-to-day operations of the World Gym network,driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and anexceptional member experience.
- Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, andprocesses to ensure consistency, compliance, and efficient cluboperations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners tosupport club openings, enhance the fitness offering, andoversee national retail operations.
- Drive financial performance through effective budgeting,cost management, revenue growth, and strategic planning.
- Partner with the Marketing team to strengthen brandpresence and support business growth initiatives.
- Lead, develop, and support high-performing teams throughrecruitment, onboarding, coaching, performance management,workforce planning, and succession planning.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and compliancewith Workplace Health & Safety standards, company policies, andprocedures.

SKILLS ANDEXPERIENCE





We are looking for someone with:

- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within acomplex and growing business environment, with a strong trackrecord of delivering measurable results.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing businessstrategies that drive performance and growth.
- Strong project management capabilities, with end-to-endexperience in initiating, executing, and delivering projectsthat achieve defined outcomes.
- Effective people leadership skills, including the abilityto coach, mentor, and develop individuals and teams to reachtheir full potential.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills,with the ability to clearly convey information and collaborateacross all levels of the organisation.
- Strategic thinking and execution capabilities, withexperience supporting senior leadership in driving change anddelivering key business initiatives.
- A hands-on leadership style with the ability to inspire,consult, and partner with others to achieve shared goals.
- Ability to translate business and end-user needs intoactionable plans, particularly when working with technical orcross-functional teams.
- Previous experience in retail and/or retail sales isdesirable.
- A current driver’s licence and access to a reliablevehicle, with the flexibility to travel as required.
