The Position

The Technical Officer will be a member of the Canberra Clinical Phenomics Service team at the John Curtin School of Medical Research, led Prof. Katrina Randall. The Technical Officer will use their laboratory experience to perform spectral flow cytometry and multiplex protein assays, and ensure the safe operation of the lab, maintenance of equipment, transportation and processing of human blood samples, and compliance with NATA accreditation standards. The Technical Officer will be expected to work collegially, maintaining effective, productive, and beneficial workplace relationships with academic and professional School and College staff, students, and honorary appointees, as well as industry stakeholders and medical professionals.

The Person

The successful applicant will have multiple years of laboratory experience, preferably with expertise in flow cytometry. A commitment to quality is essential, and experience working in an accredited diagnostic facility will be regarded positively. They will work closely with other members of the team to ensure results are delivered to academic and clinical clients quickly and reliably.

computational biology, RNA biology, and infectious diseases
