Our client, Kinetic Orthotics, is a specialised orthotic (foot arch support) manufacturer based in Marcoola on the Sunshine Coast. There is an opportunity for a Production Operator to join the manufacturing facility.
This is a hands-on role in a small experienced team which specialises in making custom-made orthotic products. The products are manufactured based on prescriptions from podiatrists in the Dan Everson Podiatry Group, and other podiatrists around Australia and internationally.
What the job involves
You will be responsible for carrying out a range of duties, including the tasks described below. You will be able to work in a factory environment while maintaining a high level of quality. Work hours are: 6.00am - 2.30pm (Monday to Thursday) and 6.00am - 12.00pm (Friday).
Production Assistance
The main tasks are:
- cutting material for orthotics
- shaping orthotics
- grinding and sanding orthotics into shape
- gluing different parts of the orthotic product together
- working safely and
- packing product to be shipped and dispatch.
Your skills and experience
You will need:
- to be comfortable in a factory setting
- have good hand skills and an interest in machinery (eg CNC machine, milling machine, saws, drills etc)
- to be reliable with a stable work history
- able to work unsupervised and be highly motivated
- to have relevant industry knowledge and/or experience
- strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- a high level of honesty and integrity.
- You must be willing to obtain a police check if requested.
