About the Role
PremiAir has a permanent full-time position available for a hardworking and reliable Delivery Driver/Yard Person to join our busy team in our Canberra (Hume) Depot for an immediate start.
Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, the main responsibility of the role is to prepare equipment ready for hire and deliver/collect equipment as required.
PremiAir Hire operates over the holiday season, with an increased demand during the festive season. The successful candidate will be required to work the entirety of the holiday season, excluding public holidays.
Duties
The main duties and responsibilities of the role include:
- Ute deliveries and collection of rental equipment(must be able to tow equipment/trailers)
- Washing of returned equipment and preparation ready for hire
- Ensure hire returns are refuelled (if required) and entered on fuel log
- Processing of equipment returns and assist with off hires (refuel/hours used)
- Assisting workshop staff with servicing and repairs
- Keeping the yard clean and arranging equipment as needed
- Once competent in the role, you will have the opportunity to work on a rotating after-hours, on-call roster
Skills and Experience
You must possess a strong sense of urgency with an"I will make it happen"attitude to get the job done. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- A valid Forklift licence is required
- A valid White Card is required
- Asbestos and Silica Awareness Certificates required
- MR or HR license is preferred but not essential to be considered for this position
- Excellent driving record and safety focused and has previous experience making deliveries and towing/reversing trailers or equipment
- Able to follow instructions and work unsupervised and pays attention to detail
- Is self-motivated and takes pride in their work and has a great work ethic
- Is reliable and punctual and has excellent work ethics
- Is focused on providing the best service to our customers
- Is capable of performing physical activities
- Can work overtime, including weekends when needed
- Previous experience and success in a similar role will be highly regarded, however, the successful applicants will be appointed primarily based on attitude and the desire to assist the business in the next phase of growth.
