Project Manager - Infrastructure Projects - Government

APG Workforce is seeking a Project Manager to support delivery of the Moree Plains Road Project, based in Tamworth.

- Location: Tamworth, NSW (office/site-based)
- Rate: $62.19 per hour + super
- Start Date: 24 August 2026
- Hours: 7 hours/day, 35 hours/week
- Start Date: 24/08/2026 End Date: 30/06/2027

This role suits a hands-on Project Manager or Contract Administrator with solid site presence, stakeholder management skills, and experience working across government infrastructure projects.

Role Overview

You will support the delivery of medium-complexity infrastructure projects, working closely with contractors and senior project managers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver assigned infrastructure projects in line with organisational procedures
- Provide contract administration support to the Principal Authorised Person
- Conduct procurement activities to support project delivery
- Maintain accurate project records including progress, claims, variations and documentation
- Undertake site surveillance, including safety,



environmental and quality inspections
- Monitor contractor performance, progress and compliance with systems
- Liaise daily with contractors and manage on-site issues professionally

Key Requirements

- Relevant qualifications or experience in project management, construction, engineering or contract administration
- Knowledge of NSW Government construction contracts
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation and site safety requirements
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and contract documents
- Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills
- Confident communicator, able to manage contractor discussions and escalation issues appropriately
- Valid NSW Driver's Licence and willingness to travel (including occasional overnight stays)
