Scaffolders & Leading Hands (Residential work, Commercial & Civil)

Quik-Scaff Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Scaffolders and Leading Hands to join our energetic team in the South East. This is a casual position offering flexibility and the opportunity to work on diverse commercial and construction projects throughout the region. Whether you're looking for regular work or flexible engagements, we have opportunities to suit your needs. You will be based in South East QLD & Gold Coast and will be involved in the design, installation, maintenance and dismantling of scaffolding systems on commercial and construction sites.

Key responsibilities

As a Scaffolder or Leading Hand, you will be responsible for:

- Installing, inspecting, maintaining and dismantling scaffolding structures in compliance with Australian Standards and safety regulations
- Reading and interpreting scaffolding plans, drawings and specifications to ensure accurate construction
- Conducting pre-use and routine inspections of scaffolding systems to identify defects or hazards
- Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard of safety and quality
- Working at heights and in confined spaces, utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Communicating effectively with site supervisors, contractors and team members to ensure project coordination
- For Leading Hands: supervising and mentoring scaffolders, coordinating scaffolding teams and liaising with site management
- Maintaining accurate documentation and safety records related to scaffolding installations
- Adhering to all site-specific safety procedures and company policies

What we’re looking for

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

- Current Scaffolding competency certification or equivalent formal qualifications recognized in Australia
- Proven experience working as a Scaffolder in commercial and/or construction environments
- Sound knowledge of Australian Standards AS/NZS 4576 (Scaffolding) and relevant safety legislation




- Demonstrated competency in reading technical drawings and specifications
- A current White Card (Construction Induction Certificate) or willingness to obtain one
- A current High Risk Work License
- Bonus if have WP Boom Lift, RIW
- Must have own transportation and tool belt with the relevant tools
- Strong physical fitness and ability to work safely at heights
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for your work
- For Leading Hands: proven supervisory or team leadership experience, mentoring ability and knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements
- Preferred: experience with specialised scaffolding systems, formwork scaffolding or modular scaffolding solutions
