About the Position

Smith & Co is currently seeking experienced Excavator Operators for multiple civil construction projects across Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. We are partnering with a range of Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 contractors delivering major subdivision, road infrastructure, bulk earthworks, and land development projects.

These positions are available for operators looking for immediate starts, offering consistent hours, overtime opportunities, and long-term work with reputable civil contractors. You'll be operating modern GPS-equipped machinery on active construction sites with strong workloads already secured.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate excavators safely and efficiently across civil construction sites
- Complete bulk earthworks, trenching, drainage, and detailed excavation works
- Work alongside site supervisors, operators, and civil crews to achieve project milestones
- Conduct daily machine checks and report maintenance requirements
- Maintain site safety standards and follow all workplace procedures

Skills & Experience

- Proven experience operating excavators within civil construction environments
- GPS machine control experience (Trimble and/or Topcon highly regarded)
- Relevant RII Excavator ticket required
- Current White Card
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Reliable, punctual, and available for immediate commencement
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety standards
