At ShedEx Mackay, we specialise in designing and constructing premium custom sheds, steel buildings, carports and outdoor structures that stand up to the local climate and exceed customer expectations. We’re part of a respected national shed building network with decades of experience in delivering durable, tailored solutions — from farm and residential sheds to commercial and industrial buildings.

We’re expanding and looking for a skilled Shed Builder / Carpenter with strong shed construction, concreting and structural carpentry experience to help drive our quality build standards across the Mackay, Whitsundays and Bowen Basin regions.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be hands-on building, assembling and finishing a wide range of steel buildings and structural components, including:

- Erecting steel shed frames and structures with precision

- Footing work, concrete piers, slab edge formwork and onsite concreting

- Roof sheeting, wall cladding and fixings

- Installing flashings, guttering and openings (doors, roller doors, windows)

- Ensuring quality finishes and compliance with safety standards

- Working collaboratively with the team to deliver projects on time and on budget





Work is primarily regional with day starts; experience in shed construction and concreting is essential.

About You

You’ll be a great fit if you:

- Are a qualified Carpenter / Tradesperson or experienced Shed Builder

- Have extensive shed building experience and solid carpentry skills

- Are comfortable with concreting work and structural builds

- Take pride in delivering superior workmanship

- Have a solid understanding of on-site safety and quality standards

- Hold a current White Card and reliable transport

Previous experience in steel building erection and framing is highly regarded.
