LJ’s Engineering and Steel Fabrication is seeking a trade-qualified Boilermaker to join our team in Gracemere, Central Queensland.
This role would suit someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys varied fabrication and repair work, and is looking for consistent local work.

About the Role
You will be working in our Gracemere workshop and on local job sites as required. The work may include fabrication, repairs, rebuilds, welding and general boilermaker duties across a range of projects.
After-hours or weekend work may occasionally be required depending on operational needs, however this is not expected to be a regular requirement.
Duties may include
- Light to heavy fabrication
- Repairs and rebuilds
- MIG and TIG welding
- Working with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium
- Reading and interpreting workshop drawings
- Maintaining a secure, clean and organised work area
- Working independently and as part of a team
- Attending local job sites as required
About You
We are looking for someone who is reliable, safety-focused and takes pride in their work.
To be considered, you will ideally have:
- Trade qualification as a Boilermaker / Fabricator (Certificate III or Certificate IV in Engineering – Fabrication Trade, or equivalent)
- Previous boilermaker experience
- Experience with light to heavy fabrication and rebuilds
- MIG and TIG welding experience
- Ability to read and interpret workshop drawings
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently when required
- Australian work rights (open to sponsorship for the right candidate)
Highly regarded but not essential
- Aluminium and stainless steel experience
- Working at Heights ticket
- EWP ticket
