Rapid LED Pty Ltd have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Web Administrator to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Designing, building, maintaining and continually improving the company's production websites and internal web applications that run our daily logistics operations — freight quoting, booking, dispatch, delivery tracking, warehouse labelling and operational reporting — keeping them reliable and responsive as the needs of our dispatch, warehouse and delivery teams change.
Installing, configuring and administering web server software and cloud hosting for our Python (Flask) and Node.js (Express) web applications, including deployments, uptime and health monitoring, and performance tuning.
Assessing and specifying the software and hardware needed to keep the web systems running and to resolve operational problems, and installing, configuring and integrating the required applications and tools.
Configuring and maintaining the connectivity that links the web systems — HTTPS/SSL, cross-origin access, single sign-on, server-to-server API connectivity, and the network links to on-site label printers.
Administering and maintaining the PostgreSQL databases that support these web applications, including schema changes, data migrations, backups and data-integrity controls.
Administering, maintaining,
enhancing and troubleshooting the REST API integrations between our web applications and external platforms — shipping carriers, ERP, mapping and communication services — including webhooks.
Implementing and maintaining web-application security controls — access control, rate limiting and denial-of-service protection, security headers and CSRF protection — monitoring the web systems for errors, suspicious activity and access issues, and reporting security incidents where required.
Monitoring website traffic, usage and performance, and reporting on the reliability and productive use of the web systems and applications.
Installing, supporting, troubleshooting and replacing label printers, barcode scanners and other operational equipment used with the company's web-based warehouse systems.
Developing and maintaining automated data-synchronisation and reporting jobs and continuous-integration (CI) pipelines that keep the web systems up to date.
Providing first-line technical support to internal users and troubleshooting software and hardware problems related to the websites and web applications, and producing technical documentation.
Applicants for this position should:
Have relevant formal qualifications in information technology.
Have at least 1 year of relevant full-time experience, in addition to their formal qualifications.
In some cases, 3–5 years of relevant full-time experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications.
