In this role, you'll:

Working within our Engineering and Maintenance Team at Sydney Trains, the primary purpose of our Quarry Operator position is to take responsibility to manage the operation of quarry plant and equipment in a safe and efficient manner to maintain production targets.

In this role you will take responsibility to operate quarry equipment including fixed/mobile processing plant and mobile plant including front end loaders and haul trucks.

You will work safely and efficiently as part of a team and/or with minimal supervision, to enable the work to be completed within time, quality and cost constraints.

You will undertake training and development in a competency based extractive and engineering environment to meet the business requirements.

You will execute safety responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities consistent with Sydney Train and use all appropriate competencies and skills when and where required.

About you





You’re someone who has experience in a quarry or heavy construction environment and has the capability to meet the physical requirement of the role.

You’ll have a Class C Drivers’ licence as well as appropriate competencies across heavy plant and equipment such as front-end loaders and/or excavators.

You’re someone who is reliable, works well in a team environment, and takes safety extremely seriously.
