New South Wales

Let’s address the elephant in the room. Coonamble is remote. This is not a role you take because the site is five minutes from your favourite café. You take it because the project, responsibility, money and career opportunity are well worth packing a bag for. For a Project Engineer who is ready to step up, this could be the project that changes the direction of your career.

You will help deliver a major $36 million Transport for NSW road upgrade, working alongside a highly experienced Project Manager and delivery team. You will have genuine ownership across construction, quality, compliance, subcontractor coordination and technical delivery.

This is not another role where you spend 12 months updating spreadsheets and waiting for someone to give you more responsibility. You will be trusted to make decisions, solve problems and help drive the project through to completion. Deliver this well, and you will walk away with the experience, project exposure and runs on the board needed to move into a Senior Project Engineer position.

THE OPPORTUNITY We are partnering with one of Australia’s fastest-growing civil and infrastructure businesses to find an experienced Project Engineer for a major regional road upgrade currently underway in Coonamble. With approximately 12 months of construction remaining, you will be involved during a critical stage of delivery and gain end-to-end exposure through to project completion and handover. The package reflects the location and commitment required:

- $180,000 to $200,000 + Super
- Approximately $34,000 per year LAHA
- Accommodation fully organised, provided and paid for
- 10 days on, 4 days off
- Home every second weekend

Yes, you will be working away, But you will also be earning an exceptional package,

delivering a substantial Transport for NSW project and positioning yourself for the next step in your career.

YOUR NEW EMPLOYER Your new employer is one of Australia's fastest-growing civil and infrastructure groups, delivering projects across roads, construction, infrastructure, quarrying, property and development. Known for taking on complex projects and investing heavily in their people, they have built a strong reputation for delivering high quality infrastructure while continuing to grow across Australia. You will be joining a business with a substantial pipeline of future work, providing genuine long-term career opportunities well beyond this project.

YOUR NEW JOB Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of a $36 million Transport for NSW road upgrade involving approximately 27 kilometres of road upgrades, pavement improvements, drainage works and flood resilience infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with Transport for NSW specifications, while supporting quality, compliance and project delivery across site. One day you could be coordinating subcontractors and reviewing construction activities, while the next you're working through QA documentation, resolving technical challenges or ensuring project milestones stay on track. Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing day-to-day engineering activities across the project
- Ensuring works comply with Transport for NSW specifications
- Managing QA documentation, inspections and compliance requirements
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and construction methodologies
- Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site teams
- Supporting project programming and delivery milestones
- Identifying and resolving technical issues on site
- Maintaining accurate project documentation and reporting
- Working collaboratively with the wider project team to deliver successful outcomes

ABOUT YOU You are already working as a Project Engineer within civil infrastructure and are ready for more. You do not want to remain the person who prepares the paperwork while someone else makes every decision. You want responsibility, visibility and the opportunity to prove you can operate at the next level. You will ideally bring:

- Previous experience delivering civil infrastructure projects
- Mandatory experience working on Transport for NSW projects
- Experience working for a civil contractor
- Solid knowledge of QA, inspections and compliance processes
- The ability to interpret drawings, specifications and construction requirements
- Confidence coordinating subcontractors and site teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach to project delivery
- The ability to work autonomously and take ownership
- The ambition to progress into a Senior Project Engineer role

Most importantly, you are prepared to make a smart short-term sacrifice for a serious long-term career move. Coonamble may not be forever. The experience, earnings and opportunities that come from delivering this project could be.
