Derm Skin Specialists is a growing dermatology clinic based in Mount Gravatt. Our team includes dermatologists, clinical assistants and administrative staff all dedicated to providing high-quality medical, surgical, laser and cosmetic dermatology care.

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our team. This role combines your clinical skills, experience, attention to detail and warm personality for excellent patient experiences.

About You:

You are a Registered Nurse who has a genuine interest in dermatology and patient care. You enjoy supporting patients throughout their journey from initial consultation to procedure and aftercare support – you are always happy to help. You thrive in a professional yet welcoming environment, can prioritise tasks in a busy practice and work well both independently and within a team. You have the ability to anticipate the Doctors needs and love supporting your team members.

You bring:

- Previous clinical experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workflows and competing priorities.
- A proactive and positive mindset with a willingness to learn and use initiative.
- Previous experience in dermatology, skin medicine, cosmetic clinic or plastic surgery
- Laser licence (highly desirable)
- Availability for rotating Saturday shifts as part of a roster.

Your Responsibilities





- Prepare patients and exam rooms for consultations and procedures ensuring adherence to infection control protocols.
- Assist the dermatologists with medical, surgical and laser dermatology procedures, including maintain sterile fields, handle instruments, manage specimens for pathology and providing wound care.
- Educate patients on pre- and post-procedural care, skincare regimens and treatment options
- Manage bookings, follow-up visits, clinical imagery, billing, and Medicare/DVA claims.
- Process medical correspondence, referrals, prepare quotes, and discuss fees with patients.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and correspondence.
- Assist with occasional ad-hoc administration support when required.
- Ensure the clinic environment is always clean, organise and ensure compliance with nursing scope of practice, clinic policies and relevant healthcare regulations.
- Conduct nurse-led appointments for therapeutic treatments such as chemical peels, laser treatments and other medical conditions (as trained and certified)
- Contribute positively to a collaborative team culture.
