About the opportunity

We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated Cook / Chef to join our wonderful team at our Moran Sylvania home, set in one of the prime residential areas in Sydney's Sutherland Shire.

- Shift Schedule: Thursday, Friday & Saturday - 06:00am to 14:00pm

In this role, you will be genuinely dedicated to creating a welcoming, and warm environment by preparing a range of delicious and nourishing home-cooked meals. Your care and reliability will help ensure everyone considers it a place where they are truly at home.

You will receive ongoing guidance and mentoring to help you succeed in your role. You'll work with a dedicated team, making a positive impact on our residents’ daily lives.

We are seeking candidates with availability to work across weekdays and weekends.

Key Duties:

You will report to the Chef Manager and will provide great food and dining experiences.

- Support day-to-day delivery of food services at Moran Sylvania home
- All aspects of food preparation and cooking, using MHCG recipes and menus
- Liaise with Chef Manger for residents requiring preparation of special diets
- Confident preparing a selection of varied food choices
- Ensure dietary and nutritional needs of the residents are met
- Ordering of stock, budget control and minimisation of food wastage as required
