About the Role:

We are seeking a Maintenance Officer to join our team on a Full-Time basis.

You will be based at our Oran Park House, located at 1 Thompson Road Oran Park NSW 2570.

Shift Times: 8:00am - 4:00pm (Monday to Friday)

Oran Park House is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Officer to join our team in a warm, resident-focused aged care setting. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining safe and well-presented facilities, and understands the importance of a well-maintained environment in supporting the quality of life of our residents.

Our Ideal candidate:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience completing maintenance for commercial businesses (desirable)

Previous experience as a Maintenance Officer in Aged Care (preferrable)

Police Check (National Police Certificate) (Essential)

Knowledge of Work, Health and Safety Requirements

Possess good communication and organisational skills.

Be able to work proactively to identify maintenance problems, including regularly inspecting and assessing repair work; and

Have the ability to recognise, escape and resolve maintenance matters which require further assistance.

Current Driver’s License Class C; and

A SafeWork NSW White Card (preferred)

Key Responsibilities:





Maintain common grounds and shared spaces to a high standard of presentation

Perform general garden maintenance, including mulching, planting, weed control (manual and spraying), and lawn care

Operate garden and maintenance equipment, including ride-on mowers, power tools, and high-pressure cleaning equipment

Carry out general building maintenance such as painting, lighting replacement, gutter cleaning, basic plumbing, tiling, and minor repairs

Follow preventative maintenance programs to ensure timely upkeep of buildings and outdoor areas

Identify, report, and address hazards in line with work health and safety procedures

Obtain quotes for repairs or maintenance works as directed by the House Manager

Provide friendly, professional service to residents, visitors, contractors, and staff

Build positive relationships with residents through a respectful, approachable, and supportive manner
