What you'll be doing?
Lead and inspire:Take charge of workshop operations, ensuring efficiency and quality in all tasks.
Oversee workshop activities:Manage fabrication, assembly, repair, and servicing of testing equipment with precision.
Coordinate and schedule:Ensure that jobs are completed on time by coordinating schedules and workflows.
Maintain quality:Uphold high standards by ensuring strict adherence to industry standards and quality control.
Ensure safety:Keep the workshop secure and organized, with a focus on the proper use of tools and equipment.
Troubleshoot and innovate:Solve technical issues with a focus on quality and detail,
and contribute to the continuous improvement of workshop processes.
Who are they looking for?
Experienced in trade:A trade qualification in mechanical fitting, machining, or similar fields, with extensive experience in manual machining and welding.
Proven leadership:Prior supervisory or foreman experience is highly valued, along with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Technical skills:Strong skills in hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical troubleshooting are a plus, as well as a valid forklift license and other relevant workshop tickets.
Attention to detail:A high level of attention to detail and a sound knowledge of measuring instruments are essential.
