The Opportunity

We are looking for a reliable Soil Technician to join our Sunshine Coast laboratory on a casual basis.

Working closely with our Laboratory Manager and senior technical staff, you will perform soil, aggregate and concrete testing in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and state requirements.

The role involves hands-on laboratory testing, practical assessment of materials, analysis of test data and preparation of test reports.

On-the-job training is available for applicants with no prior experience. This is an excellent chance for someone looking to start a career in the geotechnical industry or gain practical experience while studying.





About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have:

- A high level of initiative, flexibility and enthusiasm and be a team player;

- Excellent communication skills, motivation and commitment to deliver work to the highest standard;

- Availability to work flexibly around study commitments and during our busy work periods;

- Hold a current Australian driver’s licence;

- Hold a White Card is highly regarded, however, can be organised once employed.

Previous experience in a concrete, aggregate, rock or soils laboratory, or in the construction industry, would be beneficial but is not essential. University students are encouraged to apply.
